8-wale cotton corduroy. Wale is the number of ridges per inch: 8 is on the wide side, which wears well and does not crush flat the way a fine 16-wale does.
Care
Machine wash cold inside out, hang to dry. Washing inside out is what keeps the pile from flattening at the seat and knee.
